Can I make calls from any phone by using TEL3?

YES. You can place calls from any phone by using your
TEL3 account. Just dial one of our access numbers and follow
the instuctions on the prompts.
Plese note that an FCC mandated payphone fee (69¢
per call) will apply if you call from a payphone.

Can I place a call with my account from anywhere in
the world?

At the moment, you can use your TEL3 account to make calls FROM more than 30 countries including the United States and Canada. We will add other countries shortly. Stay tuned.

How to make an international call? Which number to

For example:
Let’s say you are trying to call a local number in
London from New York. For this example the local London number
is 5678-4321. We know that 011 is the internal call prefix
when dialing from inside the US. The country code for the UK
is 44 . The city code (or area code) for
London is 20.
To make the call, we would dial
011 + 44 + 20 + 56784321
As you can see, we dial the international call prefix 011,
followed by the country code 44, then the
area code 20, and then the local number
56784321. It’s that simple!

How can I use speed dial to make faster calls?

You can register your friends or family member's phone
number that you call frequently as speed dial numbers with
TEL3 and call them faster (with 1 or 2-digits only instead of
10 or more regular digits). Registering is easy, either go
online and login to your Online Account Manager or call
customer service at 1-800-482-4459 so we can register them for
you.
You can enter up to 99 speed dial numbers online, and
assign them a 1 or 2-digit code. To call one of these numbers,
just dial one of the Access Numbers and then simply dial the 1
or 2-digit speed dial number to connect faster.

What are "Instant Access" numbers?

Instant Access numbers are your phone numbers registered
with TEL3 so you can make PIN-less calls (like your cell phone or home phone). You can register up to 10 numbers and when you
call any TEL3 access number from these phone numbers, you will
not be asked about your account or PIN because they will be
recognized by our platform. Once connected, you can dial your
destination number directly. Enjoy fast calling.

How can I register my phone with TEL3?

In TEL3, all your registered phone numbers are Instant
Access numbers (IANs). You can register up to 10 phone numbers
that you make the calls FROM. Log in to your account, click on
"ACCOUNT SETTINGS", choose "INSTANT ACCESS
NUMBER" and add your number(s).
Call Customer Service at 1-800-482-4459 if you want us
to do it for you.
Remember, the phone number you submitted while signing
up is already registered as an IAN. No need to register again.

How do you know if the call goes through with TEL3?

Once you place a call with TEL3 you will hear the TEL3
welcome prompt ("Thank you for using TEL3"). This
prompt is a signal to you that the call is now completing
through the TEL3 service.

What is an access number and what is the difference
between local and toll free access numbers?
-
We will connect your international calls via our
platform so you’ll only pay pennies per minute on each
call. To connect to our platform, you need to either dial an
access number or use our cell phone app.
Our toll free access numbers are 1-800-999-5090 (US &
CAN), 1-877-953-3001 (US & CAN) and 1-877-953-3003 (US & CAN);
they all can be used from anywhere in the US and Canada. There
is a 1¢ add-on fee when using a toll free access number.
Local access numbers are only to be used from the
specific area that you will be placing calls from. Because
they are local for your area there are NO ADD ON FEES when
using a local access number. However, we suggest you to confirm
with your local phone carriers to determine whether the local
access numbers provided are considered local by your carrier.
No refunds and/or credits will be issued if local access
numbers are not available or if your local carrier bills you
at local rates for the provided local access numbers.

What is the TEL3 App?

The TEL3 App is an application designed for iPhone and
Android phones. It allows our users to dial their destination
numbers directly from their smart cell phones without having
to dial an access number.

What if I have a problem when placing calls?

Why and how do I get a PIN?

PINs are created during the signup process to protect
your account information and they are used when making calls
from an unregistered number or when you are logging into your
online account for the first time.

What if I forget my PIN?

To protect your privacy, PINs can only be reset by our
customer service.

Can I make conference calls or send text messages with
TEL3?

NO. Unfortunately this feature is currently unavailable.
